“A Feast for the Eyes” November 13, 2009-March 21, 2010
The brilliant colors of fall harvests and thanksgiving for the bountiful gifts of nature prepare for the subtle, quiet beauty of the winter season.

Important Dates:
Deadline for submitting work(s): November 2, 2009
Acceptance notices to artists: November 5, 2009
Artists deliver works to Brasstown Valley: November 7, 2009; 2 - 5 p.m.
Artists pick up works from July exhibit/works not selected for exhibit: Nov. 14, 2009; 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Opening Gallery Reception: November 13, 2009; 5:30 - 7 p.m.
Exhibit ends: March 21, 2010

Media:
Oil; Acrylic; Water Color; Pastels; Drawings; Photography; Mixed (all 2-D)

Submissions:
All prints must be original – (no reproductions -- giclee, etc).
Prints must have media, print number/edition, and signed on front or back

Three (3) images may be submitted for application: slides, photos, or DVD; mailed by March 16 to: Mountain Arts Association, Inc., PO Box 754, Hiawassee, GA 30546

Due to space limitations, MAA reserves the right to choose which artists’work(s) will be exhibited. Artists must pick up works not selected from the Resort on Nov. 14.

Submissions must include an application fee of $15.00 and complete labeling on back– name, medium, size, title, price. Include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for return of images (some images may be held for promotion).

All works must come with two (2) eye hooks installed in upper right and left corners 1 inch from the top of frame. Due to wall covering & stone walls in gallery/exhibit area, art will be hung from wires and hanging strips.

Accepted Works:
Art accepted for exhibition must be appropriately framed (no non glare glass) with the following information on back of work: artist’s name; media; dimensions; price; e-mail address and/ phone number.

MAA will produce all labels for the exhibited art.

Sales:
Sales are subject to a 25% fee to Brasstown Valley for expenses; MAA receives 0%.

Artists will be contacted regarding sales. When a sale is made, the artist will be asked to supply a similar size work for exhibition.

Artist responsible for collecting payment & shipping work sold. No packing of art work will be done by Resort Staff.

If the purchaser wishes to take art at the time sale of sale, sale will be handled through Brasstown Valley’s Pro Shop. Only Brasstown Valley staff will be allowed to remove art work from walls.
