As you can well imagine, planning and executing an event of this magnitude requires many people working together. Unfortunately, we ran into several snags in 2008 that put us far behind our timeline in finalizing plans for the Festival. With a great deal of thought and discussion, the Board voted to cancel the 2008 Festival rather than compromise the quality of show that visitors to the Festival expected and deserved. The good news is that though disappointing, this change of plans has made MAA an even stronger organization. Now we are looking forward to future Festivals with excitement and new ideas to make them even more effective in promoting the fine arts available right here in our own backyard.

As you know, the success of any organization is due to the members who believe in it and are passionate about promoting it. In MAA, we feel it is imperative to bring a group of people together who are enthusiastic about achieving great things not only for the arts, but also for the community.
