we are not doing the well received Hiawassee Festival of Fine Arts this year due to some unforeseen last minute complications,
We are working hard to bring a new and even better juried fine art show to the area. What we have learned from
putting together the Hiawassee Festival of Fine Art is invaluable to the creation of the best juried art show in Georgia.

Beyond a juried art show the sponsor & patron proceeds will help fund "Artists of Tomorrow" Scholarships to students in
Western North Carolina and the North Georgia Mountains.

The MAA also hosts workshops, trunk shows, studio tours and museum trips.

We are a volunteer organization. Everyone from the board of directors to the
artists that host workshops are all volunteers for the common cause of promoting and sharing in the arts. Because we are all volunteers we share a deep passion common among us and have the benefits of camaraderie to our cause, as well as some good hardy gut laughs, and a general good time had by all. We do work hard, but in all things worthwhile, hard work is essential.
